“What is essential is invisible to the eye.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I was first introduced to Pilates when I was suffering from 6 years of chronic low back pain while in Physical Therapy school. After taking a Foundations to Pilates weekend elective, I was hooked. It offered a new way of viewing the human body, posture and movement from a perspective of balance and efficiency. Within 2 months of my training, I was completely pain-free and have been ever since. I love to teach about the power of conscious breathing to keep your mind calm and focused as you move. I also teach about the importance of body awareness, flexibility/mobility, moving beyond your movements fears, and learning how to move efficiently to keep your joints healthy & pain-free.
